Role overview

As Insight Manager, you will have a broad remit, working alongside our engineering and delivery teams, to deliver our client solutions, supporting analytics and product development to delight our clients and support the business in its growth objectives.

You will have a deep understanding of the challenges we are addressing for our customers, their data and business processes, and our products. You will use this understanding to support delivery, derive systemic insight, and improve products to ensure customer value is delivered and successful renewals achieved.

In a hands-on role, with exposure to senior clients and the business leadership team, you will have a broad skill set, including strong technical, analytical, and business experience.

In this role, you’ll get to

  • Be the subject matter expert across several of our most important products, building a deep understanding of how they work, and how they interact with our clients’ business processes.
  • Lead a team of analysts in delivering new solutions, continuous improvement of existing solutions, and using our data to solve business challenges for our clients.
  • Leverage knowledge of store operations, data, and our products to derive valuable insight for the customer and continuously demonstrate the value of our products (and ways to improve our value from product/service enhancement).
  • Identify business development opportunities through an exploration of current customer solutions.
  • Provide thought leadership, playing a leading role in the success of our products with our clients by working closely with the client and our delivery teams to maximize the adoption.
  • Work alongside our engineering and support teams to investigate and ultimately bring to resolution any issues identified.
  • Champion innovation in the analytics field to ensure we’re leveraging industry best practices.
  • Be comfortable assessing & prioritizing multiple (often conflicting) requirements across the team to ensure the most important tasks are identified.

We are looking for people who

  • Have 5+ years’ experience in an analytical role providing demonstrable value and commercial impact, of which 3-5 years has been in a Lead role position.
  • Possess knowledge of retail operations and processes. Ideally, you will have worked at a retailer or FMCG company.
  • Have the ability to take abstract and unfamiliar datasets and tell a meaningful story with actionable insights and clarity
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills – you will be looked upon to extract clarity from conversations involving a mix of technical and non-technical functions.
  • Have a strong set of technical skills, including SQL, Machine Learning, BI / Data Vis Platforms & data-centric scripting/programming (eg, R, Python, Scala).
