Quality Assurance Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to help support our development teams working on key projects. In this role, your main responsibilities will be working as the primary test resource within a fast paced and responsive IT delivery team.

Our end goal is always to develop our ideas into sustainable products for our clients. We also know that rarely do our industries stand still, nor does every client have the same shape problem, so we offer a portfolio of modular, flexible products.

All projects are delivered using agile delivery methodologies. The main purpose of this role is to ensure quality and rigour for all our deployments. 

In this role, you'll get to:

  • Create and execute manual and automated tests on a variety of products and recording test results
  • Raise, communicate and assist in resolving defects along with the development team
  • Play an active role in developing the capabilities of the Quality Engineering team
  • Work with a wide variety of existing systems as well as proactively work on new frameworks to further improve the service we provide
  • Adhere to testing best practices for all project sprints
  • Develop effective working relationships with internal teams
  • Assist in manual functional testing and automated regression testing for sprints

We are looking for people who:

  • Are determined and a strong self-starter
  • Have 5+ years previous experience working as a functional tester
  • Have experience of web test automation with e.g. Selenium using C#, Cypress or any other relevant tool
  • Are experienced in Native Mobile Application testing (iOS, Android & UWP) using Xamarin UI.Test or any other relevant tool
  • Can bring knowledge or experience of REST API testing using Postman scripts or any other relevant tool
  • Know how to translate business requirements into well-structured manual test scenarios, and can translate these into automated test scripts
  • Have a sound understanding of testing techniques, methods and tools
  • Are familiar with Agile project management methods, e.g. scrums, sprints, daily stand-ups
  • Have experience in working with database systems
  • Understand CI/CD practices and principles
