Role overview

The Research function was established in 2022 and, after great early success, we are looking to scale our departmental resources. The Research Analyst will serve a critical role in the development of this department, supporting both our Commercial and Innovation teams with incisive research and analysis that distils even the most complex issues into a simple, digestible, and actionable format.

The successful candidate will support the Research Associate (RA) in enhancing the market and competitive intelligence capabilities of the business, helping us to engage directly with our target market and driving our key decision-making right across the organisation.

In this role, you’ll get to

  • Support and collaborate with Business Development (BD) and Sales to create bespoke, targeted research pieces for use in sales outreach - Retail and CPG
  • Support BD and Sales teams (support will extend to other teams e.g., Product, Customer Success as the role evolves) as their research-based needs arise
  • Visit stores to collate information around store performance to aid the creation of ultra-personalised research pieces
  • Support the Research Associate in creating and publishing an intel-focused Research Newsletter
  • Take ownership of a variety of knowledge management/market and competitive intelligence tools, working collaboratively with RA and Sales Ops to elevate usage and engagement among Retail Insight users
  • Regularly contribute to Retail Insight’s external marketing, content and PR activities
  • Support Marketing Events to drive the impact of both physical and virtual events on Research across the wider business

We are looking for people who

  • Have experience working with a variety of research methodologies
  • Are comfortable working with a range of technology, with an interest and ability to quickly up-skill on new platforms, systems and understand new technological concepts
  • Possess an ability to develop collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Hold a university-level degree in a related subject or equivalent professional experience
  • Advantageous: Retail knowledge or experience, working with grocery retailers, knowledge of store operations
  • Nice to have: German language skills
