Role overview

You will be responsible for selling our solutions into leading CPG companies based in North America. Our success in the US, with retailers such as Walmart, Target and Pilot Flying J has created a market for our solutions into the CPG suppliers, with P&G and Kimberly Clark being our customers.

You would join our current US based team of around 20 employees (client services and insight analysts). Retail Insight has ambitious growth plans in the years ahead and you will play a key role in helping us to achieve our targets.

In this role, you’ll get to

  • Achieving the sales target for the fiscal year is the primary objective. This will be comprised primarily from annual subscription to our software products.
  • You will invest time in fully understanding our proposition, solutions, customers cases, ROI tools etc allowing you to develop our value proposition for each CPG manufacturer.
  • As in all sales roles, achieving the target is the primary objective. Clear expectations on what will be delivered, having clear value to Retail Insight and/or having a future strategic value.
  • You will work with the marketing team and with our advisors to build pipeline, and you will be expected to also develop your own approaches to develop pipeline.
  • We continue to invest into ABM and you would play a role in setting priorities and providing opinions and content into these campaigns.
  • Providing accurate reporting on sales forecasts and activities in the territory is an essential part of the role. We use Hubspot as our CRM system.
 

We are looking for people who

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in selling business applications into the retail and/or CPG sector is required. Ideally, this would be in analytics or front-end applications (e.g. merchandising, supply chain or store operations).
  • Business savvy with a demonstrable understanding of how to use technology to solve CPG business challenges and building business cases.
  • Creative and smart about sales opportunities with an ability to analyze opportunities, set strategies and execute to win good business.
  • High energy and great work ethic, driven by success and a desire to win.
  • Comfortable building relationships at all levels of an organization, talking to the right people to make a difference in an account.
  • Want to work as part of a winning team, interested in selling with customer centricity and high integrity.
