Role overview

You will be responsible for driving our sales by selling our solutions into leading Retailers based in North America and will play a key role in helping us to achieve our targets.

You will be an outstanding Senior Sales Executive who can manage and motivate the Sales team demonstrating exceptional communication and leadership.

You will be responsible for analysing prospective clients and sales prospects, negotiating deals and maintaining customer satisfaction by handling complaints and resolving them in a timely manner. Additionally, you will have to build a strong relationship with the clients.

In this role, you’ll get to

  • Drive business by identifying and selling prospects and maintaining relationships with clients
  • Enhance team accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions, answering technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members, teaching improved processes, and mentoring team members
  • In conjunction with the Sales Director, expand business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry and researching and analyzing sales options
  • Sell products and services by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects and recommending solutions
  • Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities
  • Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors
  • Prepare regular sales reports and presentations by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing Retail Insight standards
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and other content, establishing personal networks, benchmarking best practices, and participating in professional and industry organizations

We are looking for people who:

  • Have proven Sales and account management experience in a commercial role with several years of successful quota carrying responsibility
  • Have strong experience in a sales role selling technical (ideally analytical) solutions into the grocery retail or CPG sector
  • Possess a strong understanding of the Food industry ideally, this would be in analytics, headquarter sales or field execution with knowledge of merchandising, supply chain, category management, promotions or store operations
  • Have worked in a role where you have implemented solutions into Retailers 
  • Experience using sales tracking or customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Prospecting and lead generation and nurturing experience
  • Sales planning and organization skills
  • Is able to understand complex issues and distill them into solutions.  The ideal person will be business savvy and understand how to use technology to solve the client's business challenges. Building business cases is an important part of the role
  • Is smart and creative about sales opportunities. The ability to analyze opportunities, set strategies and execute to win good business is essential
  • Can build and develop strong relationships with prospective clients
  • Want to win and is driven by success, and all that comes with it
  • Has a high energy, a positive outlook and great work ethic
