BP renews with Retail Insight until 2027

We are thrilled to announce the renewal of our contract with BP, in the UK, for an additional three years, extending our relationship until 2027. This extension underscores the significant impact our cloud-based solution, WasteInsight, has had in reducing food waste and enhancing operational efficiency.
BP provides high-quality fuel, food and beverages to motorists and shoppers across the UK, operating over 300 convenience stores as part of its partnership with M&S Food. BP’s ambition to grow its convenience business, to become first choice for customers on the roadside, is evident in the enhancements they are making to their offer and network.
We have been working hard since 2019 to ensure that WasteInsight supports their efforts to increase customer satisfaction by reducing food waste and implementing dynamic price markdowns.
“The WasteInsight solution has delivered impressive results across our estate,” said Hannah Munns, UK Trading Director. “The implementation of dynamic markdowns has not only reduced waste but also significantly improved our sell-through. We are looking forward to seeing continued improvements over the coming years.”
WasteInsight analyses foundational retail data, applying a machine learning model to provide dynamic markdown prices designed to encourage sales. Not only does this provide value to both the customer and BP but the retailer is able to ensure a reduction in food waste.
