We are proud to announce that we have successfully renewed our contract with Southern Co-op, and will continue to work with them to tackle food waste.
As an independent cooperative, Southern Co-op operates across the south of England, running more than 300 food, funeral and Starbucks coffee branches, with over 4,000 staff.
Since 2021, Southern Co-op has been utilising WasteInsight across their estate with the goal of driving down waste to support their commitment to maintain a sustainable business and protect the environment. The decision to extend our relationship for another three years is a testament to our collaborative relationship and the positive strides we are making towards supporting their objectives.
"We are thrilled to continue our work with Southern Co-op," said Jessica Westwell, Customer Success Manager, Retail Insight. "The team at Southern Co-op are driven and keep pushing to improve the impact we can make towards reducing food waste. We are excited to see what we can achieve over the next three years."
Our cloud-based software solution, WasteInsight, ensures that Southern Co-op are able to optimize their price reductions using a dynamic, data-led model. In doing so, they ensure that more ends up in shoppers’ baskets, reducing the amount that goes to landfill.
“Our work with Retail Insight really does feel like a partnership," said Andrew Farndell, Head of Retail Commercial, Southern Co-op. "Whilst the product makes a big difference, the collaborative nature of our relationship means that we are able to achieve more and work together to continually tweak and enhance the machine learning technology."
